View of the Half Moon, a full-scale replica of the Dutch ship of exploration that Henry Hudson sailed in 1609, moored at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, as a part of the Hudson-Fulton Celebration from September 25 to October 9, 1909 in New York and New Jersey, an elaborate commemoration of the 300th anniversary of Henry Hudson's discovery of the Hudson River and the 100th anniversary of Robert Fulton's first successful commercial application of the paddle steamer.
