Inscription: "Long Island College Hospital student nurses Jo-Anne Tansi (left) and Marguerite Rezoaglt show a view at top of the original 25-bed hospital & school of medicine [in 1858] which was the 2nd voluntary non-profit hospital in Brooklyn & the first teaching hospital in the N. Y. area. The lower painting shows the entrance of today's 567-bed facility, now incorporating Prospect Heights Hospital & planning expansions to become one of New York City's major medical centers." At the time of cataloging, the hospital is located at the intersection of Hicks Street and Amity Street. The image is not dated.
