Caption: "Memorial for heroes--Inscribed on this heavy bronze plaque are names of 816 Kings County Hospital employees who served in armed forces during the war. Nineteen of them were killed. The plaque, a gift of hospital staff, was unveiled yesterday by Hospital Commissioner Edward M. Bernecker, left. With him are Dr. Joseph Tenopyr, president of medical board, Dr. E. Giddings, medical superintendent, and Mrs. Sadie Nicholson, chairman of employees' committee."
