Plymouth Church

Title: Plymouth Church
Description:

Plymouth Church was founded in 1847 by Henry Ward Beecher. The building in this image, designed by J.C. Wells, was erected in 1849 following a fire in the original church building. The image is a stereograph, meaning that it features two similar but offset images placed side-by-side. When viewed separately by the left and right eyes through a viewer designed for this purpose, the effect is of a single three-dimensional image.
