Reap, center, president of the Nursing Education Alumnae Association of St. John's University, and Mary Mulvany, dean of the school, accept the first annual Brown plaque from William J. Brown, a member of the class of 1919 and president of the Titche-Goettinger department store in Dallas, Texas, who established the award for the school of the university which records the highest percentage of contributors to the Alumni Fund. Nursing Education enrolled 42.3 percent of their alumnae as contributors in 1953;" portion of school seal on wall in background.
